SMALL WATER SYSTEMS TRAINING

Indigo Water Group will be hosting a series of water training seminars in 2012.  Thank you to the State of Colorado Water Quality Control Division.  The Division provided funding to make these training opportunities possible through the Public Water Systems Training Grants Program.

We've put together two, complimentary sets of training: a webinar series and hands-on classroom training.  Small water system operators are highly encouraged to attend both types of training and to view the on-line math training modules developed as part of this grant.

Webinars and On-Site Trainings are APPROVED for TU's in Colorado

We are one of four companies providing training through the State Public Water System Training Grants Program.  To see all of the available training, check out our shared Google Calendar.

Webinar Series

The webinar series is a new way to experience small water systems training.  Each webinar lasts between one and two and a half hours.  All you need to attend is an internet connection and some time set aside each week.  All webinars will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesdays.  Advantages of this approach include:

  • Textbook and training materials at reduced cost.
  • Information learned in short sessions for better retention.
  • Short homework assignments to reinforce concepts learned.
  • On-line quizzes to help with test preparation.
  • Don't need to leave the plant.
  • Minimal time commitment each week.
  • 24 hours of contact time when all webinars are attended.
  • Almost free -- just a low up front cost for the textbook.

Each webinar can support up to 200 attendees.  If a webinar fills up, operators from small systems will be given preference.

Webinars will be hosted through GoToTraining and will be recorded just in case you have to miss a session or want to re-watch a training you've already attended.

Textbook and Training Materials

Course attendees should purchase the Introduction to Small Water Systems training manual from ACRP.  The student manual costs $60 plus shipping.  Course books will be half price - only $30 - for the first 100 course registrants.  By purchasing a half-price course manual, you agree to attend at least 12 of the 15 webinars.

Alternatively, course attendees may elect to purchase individual chapters for $3.50 each.  Purchased chapters will be e-mailed to webinar attendees a day or two before each webinar.  For those operators who are interested in only a few of the webinars, this may be more cost effective.

Handouts and copies of PowerPoint slides will be e-mailed to attendees prior to each webinar.
